I HODL bitcoin and just had an argument with a friend about bitcoin. He was telling me that a lot of the use cases for cryptocurrencies are relatively minimal and there is nothing special about bitcoin as compared to other cryptocurrencies.
He did note that there are some differences in the blockchain for each coin, but there is nothing else really different when compared to other cryptos and the reason bitcoin in particular has taken off is because of the ‘brand name’.
How would you all counter this argument?
