If we used gold as money and an alien civilization had access to immense amounts of gold (lets say they had an entire moon made of gold ore that they mined). They could visit earth and buy everything out from under us in exactly the same way as Europeans could buy everything out from under Africans when they used glass beads as money in Africa because Europeans had the tech to make glass beads in huge quantities.
This is the reason bitcoin is far superior. Not even an alien civilization that is millions of years more advanced than us can make more bitcoin.
This makes bitcoin resistant against technological dilution by aliens while gold is not.
