Lightning wallet for stacking bitcoin recommendation (Reddit Bitcoin)

Hello, i would like to start buying bitcoin and long term holding in lightning network self custodial wallet. I want to totally avoid high fees using classic network – so buy lightning over some exchange and send it to wallet. If the wallet developers abandon the project a want to have to mnemonic phase to be able renew and withdraw my bitcoin without using that wallet. Any recommendation for such a wallet and exchange for this purpose? (eu not us) I used muun but read somewhere it is not safe because of developers but didnt find the exact reason.
